Here is my first attempt to paint someone with curly hair.  This was painted completely from life (no photos used.) For a total of 45 hours. I am getting much faster now, last head portrait I painted was closer to 30 hours. I will post that one soon.

Thank you everyone who came to the “Three Takes on Realism” show with Jeffrey Smith, Laura Tundel, and my self.  Congrats to Barb Peterson who won the free painting.  She chose the Purple Tulip II.
